What Happens when the worst happens?

Canoes, kayaks & paddleboards are rugged pieces of outdoor equipment. They are designed to be used and enjoyed, but they are not indestructible. So, what happens when your paddlesports craft has had an accident? Don't panic, BayCreek has some options! Read on to find out how to address your situation...
BayCreek's Warranty & Repair Policy
Damage on boats and boards can usually be classified in one of two categories. Those categories are Warranty Issues or Accidental Damage.

Warranty Issues
Warranty Issues consist of damage to the craft due to a failure in workmanship or materials used by the manufacturer to produce the product. Depending on the manufacturer of the craft the warranty may vary. BayCreek is happy to act as an intermediary between manufacturers we deal with and you, the customer. Here are some things you will need to know regarding warranty repairs...
  • Warranties are ONLY applicable for the original owner of the new craft and do not apply to boats and boards purchased as USED or DEMO from BayCreek. BayCreek will work with the manufacturer of the craft to resolve any warranty issues as quickly as possible. This may involve sending the craft back to the manufacturer or them sending BayCreek the resources to repair the craft on-site.
  • If you are the original purchaser of the craft in new condition and the craft was bought at BayCreek Paddling Center we will handle your warranty issues free of charge. Your craft must still be under manufacturer warranty for this to apply. This is one of the many benefits you receive because you chose to purchase through us and we thank you for that.
  • If you have purchased your craft elsewhere (another paddling store, craigslist, e-bay, etc...). BayCreek is happy to assist you for a handling fee of $100/craft. This fee covers your craft being on BayCreek property and under our insurance while it is being repaired or waiting to be sent to the manufacturer. This fee is Non-negotiable.
Accidental Damage
Accidental Damage is just that. Damage done to the craft due to accident or misuse. For these situations BayCreek has a number of staff members competent in boat and board repair and if something is beyond our skill level we work with a subcontractor to complete the repair. A repair quote will be given at the time the craft is dropped off. Repair fees will include labor and materials. The standard rate for BayCreek repair labor is currently $60/hour.
  • If you own a Swift Canoe, Kayak or Pack Boat the best course of action is usually to send the boat back to the Swift factory. Swift will collect , transport and return your canoe, kayak or pack boat to BayCreek free of charge. A quote will be provided by Swift for the repair before any work is done. In-season the turnaround for this service is approximately one month but can vary in each situation.
  • If you are the original purchaser of the Swift Canoe, Kayak or Pack Boat in new condition and the craft was bought at BayCreek Paddling Center we will handle your accidental repair with no additional fees other than the initial repair fee. This is one of the many benefits you receive because you chose to purchase through us and we thank you for that.
