Trylon is an acrylic capped co-extruded ABS plastic, which can be produced as a multilayer composite. This makes for a very high gloss finish with vibrant colors, excellent UV protection and rugged durability. These features make it a perfect material for kayaks. Paddlers notice substantial weight savings over most roto-molded plastic boats with out the higher price tag accompanied with conventional composite boats made of fiberglass, kevlar or carbon fiber.
